We carefully and patiently select the best qualities of green coffee. How? Through experience, knowledge and continuous updating carried out directly in the field. We personally travel to producing countries to check the characteristics, properties and conditions of the plantations where we source. We taste the coffees, evaluate them, and select them with each harvest.

Importing raw coffee also means working carefully on logistics. Making sure to store it in the best way is critical to maintaining its qualities over time. We have the availability of the oldest warehouses in Italy, which due to the special conditions of temperature and humidity allow us to store coffee in an ideal way. Here our clients can benefit from multiple specific services: cleaning, partitioning and sorting by color, weight and taste are some of the many activities we offer. We also arrange exports and cargo, shipping and logistics services worldwide, suggesting and curating what we consider to be the best insurance and transportation rates.

From seed to planting

The coffee process

the grain

The coffee “bean” is actually the seed of a berry. The beans are harvested, washed and dried. Then they are ready to be polished, cleaned, and sorted. Coffee is transported in jute bags or woven plastic bags and stored.

The magic of turning green, stone-like seeds into coffee happens during the roasting process. Roasting determines the flavor of the finished coffee. It is a process through which we develop our customized Omnicaf flavor profiles ; recipes crafted to perfection over time by our experienced staff who take pride and joy in what they do.

the profile

Our importers provide tasting notes and we use them as a free guide when creating our profiles. Sometimes, we find a new way. For example, we might decide to bring out the chocolate notes of a coffee instead of its citrus flavor by simply roasting it a little darker. By experimenting with multiple small sample batches for each new single-origin coffee, we are able to determine what combination of time and temperature brings out the best flavors in a particular bean.
